Join MEMSPA and Lexia Learning for breakfast and a discussion about cutting edge assessment around the newly released Michigan Department of Education Initial and Extensive Assessment list released for the 2017-2018 school year.
Lexia’s RAPID Assessment™ was chosen by the MDE as both an Initial and Extensive Assessment. Developed in partnership with the experts at the Florida Center for Reading Research, RAPID is a K–12 computer-adaptive universal screener and diagnostic tool that reliably measures the skills most predictive of reading success to provide actionable, norm-referenced data for instructional planning.
At this event, Michigan principals and administrators will learn more about:
· The Initial and Extensive assessment process for 2017-2018 · Current research on literacy assessments · The importance of assessing and developing academic language skills in students · Providing educators with actionable data for screening, diagnosing, and planning literacy instruction
