We are thrilled to be ALL In with you and your students.
Lexia® is proud to partner with the Virginia Department of Education and your division to help fulfill the commonwealth’s priority of accelerating student literacy growth through Virginia ALL In.
Kick Off the 2025–2026 VAI With Lexia Initiative!
One of Lexia’s implementation best practices is communicating and celebrating student progress. To kick off the 2025–2026 year, we challenge you to collaborate with your ALL In team and students to determine where, when, and how your community will routinely engage with and celebrate progress made. Choose a location to make community progress visible, break out last year’s Lexia maps, and use the materials below and your CREATIVITY to deck out your display. Consider taking pictures and tagging us at #Lexia4LiteracyVA and @LexiaLearning to be featured in an upcoming newsletter, and see below for some of last year’s creations!

“At Virginia Middle School in Bristol, Virginia, we’ve witnessed remarkable literacy progress this year by integrating Lexia PowerUp into our daily curriculum. We've fostered a culture of focused intervention and personalized learning by committing to at least 20 minutes of daily Lexia use for all students. Our approach is multifaceted: Students receive targeted PowerUp Lessons during intervention time, guided by teachers and academic aides. To boost engagement, we launched two successful challenges: “Cookie & Cocoa” before winter break, rewarding students for mastering key literacy strands, and “Are We Yeti for Lexia?” after the break, sparking healthy competition among classes to achieve unit goals. The results speak for themselves. On average, our students are completing 14 PowerUp units per week at a rate of 2.0 units per 10 minutes of program time. We’ve seen significant growth, with 67% of students moving up at least one zone and 35% moving up two or more zones. Our students have completed an average of 131 Word Study, 53 Grammar, and 142 Comprehension units.”

“At Cedar Point, students in the ALL-In tutoring program have demonstrated impressive growth and engagement through their consistent use of Lexia. By holding themselves accountable with weekly tickets, they are actively taking ownership of their learning journey. Progress is celebrated with fun incentives, and achievements are brought to life through a vibrant display featuring a world map and colorful balloons. This visual tracking system creates an exciting and motivating atmosphere—students eagerly check the hallway to see if their balloon has moved, signaling that they’ve leveled up. This approach has significantly boosted student engagement. Learners are not only excited to reach their goals but also take pride in seeing their accomplishments represented in such a meaningful and visible way.” – The Cedar Point Elementary School Team

“Galax Elementary School celebrated their students’ success in passing levels in Lexia by adding pieces to their schoolwide puzzle. Students were eager to have their names shouted out for their accomplishment, and celebrated by writing their name on a puzzle piece and adding it to the wall. We also used the Lexia banner to place our grade levels in 1st–5th places according to grade level usage. This allowed for a healthy competition between the grade levels.” – Susan Hoch, Galax Public Schools

"My classes are completing each week in units! I made a spreadsheet to calculate the average number of units each class achieves. On the far left of the banner, I have posted the percentage of all my students (nearly 60) who have achieved 25 + units that week." ALL In educator Amber Terry, Pittsylvania County

“When we received the wonderful map from Lexia, we knew we wanted to somehow incorporate it into a way to monitor progress in the program. Since all of our first-graders are enrolled in Lexia, we decided to hang it in their hallway to encourage their progress. Each student chose a character to represent themselves on the map. It is ‘anonymous’ in that only the student, classroom teacher, and Lexia administrator know who's who. Students love to tell me when I need to move them to the next level—it is updated weekly! It has been such a fun and engaging way to motivate them!” ALL In educators Lori Knicely and Kim Crocker,T.C. McSwain Elementary School, Staunton
